Scoring Method

With certain manoeuvres, you can only lose the indicated number of points. For example, during the pre-trip inspection, if you fail to check the Tyre, you can only lose 1 point. Since the pre-trip inspection only happens once, you only have one opportunity to lose points.

With other manoeuvres, you can lose points multiple times. For example, Observation during any manoeuvre. For every observation you fail to do, you will lose 5 points. If you perform a manoeuvre where you need to observe 3 times, but you fail to do so 2 out of the 3 times, you will lose 10 points. (2 failures to observe multiplied by 5, the number of points lost for every failed observation = 10.)

With other manoeuvres, if you perform the wrong action, you will fail immediately. For example, touching the line.

Your total points lost will be added up, and if it does not exceed the maximum number of points you are allowed to lose, you will pass that section. Assuming you don’t do anything that will cause you to immediately fail: in part 1 of the motorcycle test, if you exceed 50 penalty points, you will fail; in part 2 of the motorcycle test, if you exceed 90 penalty points, you will fail.
