Block Pedestrian Crossings

Always give way to pedestrians on or about to enter a pedestrian crossing.

  1. Check rear-view mirrors.
  2. On approach, look right and left for pedestrians crossing or intending to cross.
  3. Decelerate, if necessary.
  4. Brake, if necessary.
  5. Select an appropriate gear, if necessary.
  6. Proceed, if safe.
  7. Stop, if necessary.
  8. Apply the handbrake, if necessary.
  9. Select neutral, if necessary.
  10. Select 1st gear, if necessary.
  11. Observe, if applicable.
  12. Release the handbrake, if applicable.
  13. Move off, if safe.
